Project Evaluation Criteria

Nominated projects in the first four categories will be evaluated based on five criteria. Design projects across the field in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technologies are accepted.

  • Passive & Active Integration

2. ENERGY

  • System Integration & Control
  • Quantifiable Energy Performance
  • Renewable Energy

3. ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (INDOOR & OUTDOOR)

  • Indoor Air Quality
    (May not be applicable to Award Categories 2 & 3 such as Data Centers, Labs, Retail & Refrigeration)
  • User Controllability
  • Thermal, Visual & Acoustic Comfort
  • Visual Integration
  • Use of Eco-friendly refrigerant

4. ECONOMICS

  • Life cycle cost
  • Space utilization

5. TECHNOLOGY

  • Flexibility, Scalability, Diversity
  • Quality of Installation & Commissioning
  • Accessiblity & Ease of Maintenance
